My chess journey began in 2023, and one of the biggest reasons I’ve come so far is because of Coach Jojo of Chesscolastics. From the very start, he patiently guided me—teaching me the basic moves, showing me clever tricks, and helping me understand the deeper strategies of the game.

When I first started, I remember watching Coach Jojo and his friends play and thinking how complicated chess seemed—every piece had a purpose, and remembering how they moved felt like a challenge. I lost countless games to my brother and dad, but instead of giving up, those losses made me even more determined to improve.

With Coach Jojo’s support, I grew more confident and skilled over time. What started as a tricky game has now become one of my favorite sports—a challenge I look forward to every time I sit at the board.
