At Chesscolastics, we play an important role in helping students rediscover their passion for chess. Through our lessons, guidance, and encouragement, students are able to build their skills, learn new strategies, and gain confidence in their game. Our supportive environment makes it easier for chess enthusiasts to reconnect with the game, even after years away from it.

From Pawn to Player Again: Reigniting Kenzo’s Passion for Chess

My chess journey began when I was seven years old. My dad taught me how to play, and at that time, I simply enjoyed the game for fun. I still love playing today, though I can get quite competitive at times. When I was nine, I had to stop playing because I didn’t have much time, and around the same period, my family and I moved to Canada—which meant leaving my chessboard behind.
What excites me most about chess is winning games, solving puzzles, and working through complex positions. I’m really glad that Chesscolastics has helped me return to the game and taught me more about strategies and how to improve my play. Lately, I’ve been slowly getting better. Whenever I have time, I try to play on Chess.com or Lichess. I also review my games to see where I can improve and solve puzzles, both of which I find very helpful.
I want to thank Chesscolastics for giving me the opportunity to rediscover my love for chess and continue learning more about this amazing game.
