133rd Minnesota Open

Date: February 20-22, 2026 

Congratulations to our Chesscolastics student, Rhailey Punay, on winning 1st Place in the U2000 category (with a perfect score of 6 out of 6) at the 133^rd Minnesota Open! The tournament was held at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The event celebrates one of Minnesota’s oldest chess traditions and is organized by the Minnesota State Chess Association.
